J.r March 11.—A theory that Honest John” Brunen. proprietor of the Doris-Fcrarici, who was murdered it Riverside,. New Jersey, Friday night, knew the se-j cret of the murder of Wm, Desmond I Taylor, California moving picture director, -was held by detectives on the case today. r Brunen, was known ;to be a friend of Taylor, whom lie had met . in the course of his 25 years' experience in the show business.He was known also to- have been the object of. close surveillance for a time preceding his murder. A few hours before his' brains were scattered by a heavy charge from a shotgun', fired at close range through the kitchen window, of his home, he had run a close motor car race with unnamed parties* from Riverton to his home. He was on his way from Williamsport, .Pa,He passed this incident oil with a. I ■, laugh.
