BLUEFIELD (UPI) — The cases of two persons charged in connection with the theft of $300,000 in new $100 bills from the home of coal operator C. A. Clyborne have been bound over to the Mercer County grand jury meeting April 6. William T. (Rabbit) Martin was remanded to Mercer Coun ty jail at Princeton Tuesday when he failed to make $35,000 bond on a charge of breaking and entering. W. T. Christian was released on $20,000 bond on a charge of receiving stolen property. The case of Dwight Perdue, 54, on a charge of receiving stol en property already has been bound over to the grand jury. A hearing for Betty Powell, 47, also charged with receiving stolen property has been contin ued, Justice of the Peace C. J. Harvey said today. The four charged are of the Bluefield area. Two other persons arrested in Virginia in connection with the theft have been charged there with interstate flight to avoid prosecution. They were identifie as Rufus R. Hampden, 37, and Betty Ann Byrd, 30.
