By UNCLE DUDLEY At one time a noted speaker, while talking before a very interested au ence, desired a question answered. He pointed to the rear of the audience and said, “Will the good looking young lady down there stand and answer my questions?” No less than fifteen young ladies stood. We have had a parallel experience here in school. If you remember the sory that appeared in this column last issue, I'll tell you something. There were no less than fifteen or sixty cou ples who thought it pertained to them. Some of the people with guilty con grences are: Lloyd Christensen and Melba Bagley, Phil Kotter and Ruth Rigby, Keith Erickson and Fern Mc Gee, Mathew Mansfield and Pearl Willardson, Talmage Thomson and Hilda LuBent, Owen McClellehan and Jane Moffitt, Pauline Bunnell and Jackson Moffitt, Ruth Reid and Anton “Sam” Christensen. With the excep tion of one remark in the story it might have been Chad and Phyllis, Phil and Fern, June and Stan, Mar yin and Lorraine. Walter “Wintchell” Nielson was sure he was one of a guilty couple. Snow college would surely be among the leading colleges of the nation if the “Knowledge of Evolution” were the only basis of judgment. If you don't believe so ask Bill “Webster” Jensen and Rex Nielson. If they won't tell you ask Elmer Smith. It is quite a speculation — I mean this trying to figure out which it is of Therel and Knute that Veneal holds nearest to her heart. There is quite sure he could be the one “if he want ed to be.” Knute always was an opti mistic soul. We all think they better toe the mark or the boy named Aa gard from Fountain Green will run away from them. Some weeks ago in a Snowdrift edi tion there was an article about oe qualities of certain individuals. mece has been made by noted observers as this list be extended. Here are the suggestions. If we only had: Royal’s dramatic ability Therel’s executive ability Marvin’s line Pose’s technique Knute’s optimism Velma’s sincerity Maude’s_ poise Maurine’s self assurance Geraldine’s during Ogden’s general appearance Bryant's smile Rigby’s smile Walter’s surety Evan’s luck June’s modesty William’s vocabulary Decoy’s brains Plumlee’s brawn H.
