F. D. 1, Falconer. In front of a vacant lot between 50 and 41 West Fifteenth Street at 3:11 o’clock yetserday afternoon. Harns died a few moments after the stabbing and Tabone fled. lie has not been apprehended. Hie wife, however, la in Jail, held sa a material witness.Chisf of Police Aael Levin and hla men were on the scene of the murder within five minutes and at edIUon time this morning were still working but had been able to make little headway In tbair man hunt.The aseumptlon that the murder was committed because of Haras' failure to pay the small grocery bill is baaed upon statements from witnesses that on Saturday, March 1st. Mrs. Tabone told them that Harne owed money at the Tabone store at Washington snd Fifteenth Streets snd thst If she found him she would best him up. If she did not. her husband would “get him, ttie woman Is alleged to heve told the witnesses who have made sworn statements to that effect.Frank Harns, father of the slain youth, and Theodors Harns, who was killed, shortly after 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon drove west down the hill of West Fifteenth Street and stopped the car Just east of 44 Fifteenth Street, which ia the home of Harry lloidsworth, s landscape gardener.Frank Harns. the father, got out of the machine and started into the Holdsworth home to talk with Mr. lloidsworth. The younger Harns remained In the automobile.Father Saw Stabbing.At about that time Joseph Tabone, whose atoro is located only a short distance down the street, walked up Went Fifteenth Street. The elder Harns happened to glance up the street and w«is horrified to see that Tabone had opened the door of the car, grabbed Theodore Harns by the coat snd had pulled him partially out of the automobile. Tabone seemed to be striking young Hams In the chest and then he let go of him. Young Haras staggered for a moment snd then sunk in a heap at the curb. Tabone walked down the street again, nonchalantly and in no hurry.The elder Hams snd Mr. Holdsworth were so horrified by the sight of the young man lying In a heap at the curb that they hurried to him snd gave no thought to Tabone. They rushed to the fallen Hams and picked him up. It was then that they noticed blood coming from his chest. Ho had been stabbed.The victim of the killer’* knife was gasping feebly for breath and It was evident that his condition was critical. The men picked him up and carried him Into* the Holdsworth home.Mr. Holdsworth ran at once to his telephone and notified police headquarters. The father, terrified and unnerved at the sight of the hleding son. triad in some way to stop the flow of blood from the double knife wound he had found when he tore away the clothing over the chest.Tabone, however, though taking his time, had not hesitated and he was gone.
