Work on the Construction of the Line to /May Awarded to Texas Building Company j of Fort WorthBrown wood has been accused of doing tilings slowly., but the town Is deliberative rather than slow. It believes in the old axiom of being sure it is right before going ahead.There hasn't been a day since tlie Brownwood North South road was first undertaken that the people in charge of it haven’t been at work hard at work, to push along an early beginning of construction. They have not made haste at the expense of the stock and bond holders, but have worked to save them every possible centAt times there have been rumors that the -public has been in a burry ; for quicker action, but that part of the j public tlrat has complained hasn't J known even a part of the difficulties that are encountered in such matters.One at a time these difficulties have been met and overcome.Thursday the directors met and let the contract This body of busy men gave three hours of hard work to that task. There were eight bids ranging in price for earth work from 13 cents to 17 per cubic yd with varying prices on loose rock work, solid rock work, clearing, grubbing, hauling, placing culverts, etc. The biddders were P.
