the County Roundup ALDEN. (From the Alden Advance) Mrs. Nels Nelson is still very low. John Matteson is moving on to the Josiah Jones farm. A dog supposed to have been mad was shot here Tuesday morning. Josiah Jones is moving to Alden and mee possession of his property in Kast en. Emil Siemssen has completed his ice house and has it filled. Butter eee yesterday were 84 tubs from Alden creamery. The stock shipments from this place the past week were 3 cars. Mr. and Mrs. Philip Abbe have moved on to their farm southwest of Alden. Louie Carlston, who bought the Luman Marble farm, has taken posses sion of his property. John Christensen, south of town, has been moving his household goods into his new home on Euclid street the past week. P. H. Clausen will erect a dwelling in Alden 24x26 with 16 foot posts, and two porches. A. P. Hansen has the contract. Ike Peterson, who has been on one of the W. H. Walker farms for the past four years, has moved to Alden and will follow the stone mason trade. H.C. Mathiasen left Tuesday for the estate to close up some land deals. R. F. Hazle went to Bricelyn Wednes day to figure on a 89,000 school house to be erected there this summer. B. Screiber of Iowa, who purchased the Christ Rasmussen farm last fall, has arrived here and taken possession of his property. Christ Nelson, of Howard, 8. Dak., arrived here Tuesday and has located on his farm northwest of Alden. The workmen have about completed the work on the I. O. O. F., hall in the Morin Mason block. It is going to make a fine lodge hall. Miss Lillie Farnen, who ran a millinery store at this place last summer, was in Alden Monday. She will not continue the business here, but will clerk for an uncle in a store at her home at Kilkenny. A merry party assembled at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. 8. Austin Tuesday evening in honor of Mrs Austin’s birth day. Various games were played, re freshments served and a general good time had by all present. A series of revival meetings will be conducted at the Methodist church, be ginning March 22nd.
