The attendance was large, several participating from Dubuque and other places from abroad. Among j the tiumber we noticed Dr. MttSfllUi of the Dubuque TtUgrttph, accompanied by his wife; Win. Bivenburg,Esq., of Apple iUver, III.; Mr. gtkucand Mr, Brown, of Freeport; Dr. Lee,Of Georgetown, Wis,, and others. The music was furnished hy the Great Western Band, of Dubuque, the lines! string band west of Chicago, The arrangements, under Die charge of Misses Josie and Lucy Oise, and the Misses Merry, were very complete and satisfactory. The ladies escorted the gentlemen to the hall and home, and footed the bills. The ladies were verytastily attired, ami altogether it wasone of the 11 neat parties of the sens »n.
