Albert Grimes has been quite ill of erysipelas. Aaron Negangard was on the sick Lat last week. J. W. Davis, of Dillsboro, was a caller here Monday. Chris Seevers and wife spent Sunday in the country. Mrs. Maude Frakes spent one day last week in Osgood. Russel Pate, of Milton, was a caller here Sunday evening. CO. R. Shorten, of Prattsburg, was a business caller here Monday. Alva Aikens and Steve Trisler, of Versailles, were here Saturday. James Murdock, Supt. of the county farm was a caller here Saturday. Loren Pendry left Saturday for Salem, Ind., where he has employment. Wm. Lorenzen and wife, of Cincin nati, visited relatives here last week. Robt. Foster is suffering severely with his hand which was mashed recently. The I. O. O. F. Order here attended a lodge meeting at Osgood Saturday night. Geo. Fricker, wife and son Omer, spent Saturday afternoon with Mrs. Ida Felix. G. W. Toole and wife called on Geo. Rupp and family south of town Sunday afternoon. Cottage prayer meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Melissa Shockley Monday night. Samuel Peck and family Lave moved to the property on Vine street owned by Mrs. Rebecca Rix. Miss Bessie Adkins, of Moores Hill, was the guest of her cousin, Myrtle Adkins, over Sunday. Bert Evans, of Moores Hill, was in town Saturday and gave the REPUBLI CAN office a business call. Mrs. Chas. Rouse and Mrs. Amelia Pendry were guests of Mrs. Florence Rouse Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Belle Dean and Mrs. Lillie Puf fer called on Geo. Dean and family east of town Sunday afternoon. W. W. Withrow, of Dillsboro, spent Saturday with his son and daughter here and attended the horse sale. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Barrickson, of near Rising Sun, were guests of J. OC. Fleming and family over Sunday. Miss Clara Moorman, of Alabama, left Monday after a pleasant visit with her uncle, Dr. D. C. Roney and wife. Clara Krick is quite ill. Walter Voss has been quite ill. Little Paul Kissell is on the sick list. Buy wall paper of G. W. Toole, Milan. Mrs. Etta Kissell has been ill of la grippe. Ora and Harold Gillenwater have mumps. Baptist services Sunday morning and evening, Shelton Rouse was on the sick list last week. Emory Nocks, of Aurora, was here Saturday. Little Meredith Kissell was quite ill the latter part of the week. The bank directors held their month ly meeting Monday afternoon. Mrs. Libbie Thompson has recovered from a severe attack of mumps. Wm. Gault, of Cincinnati, is spend ing a few days with relatives here. Ed Hunter and family were guests of Warren Cottingham and wife Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Miller left ths week for a three weeks’ visit in Chicago. Wade Ruble and family, of Shelby ville, have been visiting relatives here. See I. M. Leona Bruce is assisting Kathryn Schlicht in her millinery store and will remain with her until after Easter. If Nicholas lead charge of the fun erals of Mrs. Theodore Shornick living north of Milan and Mr. John Johnson, of Delaware, last week. A series of meetings will commence at North Milan, Mar. 16. Rev. Mrs. Margaret Dean and daughter Mildred and Mrs. Callie Kissel and daughter Leora, were guests of Mrs. Mary Steinmetz Saturday night. I. M. Schoonover and wife entertain ed the following at dinner Saturday: Harry Martin and son, of Osgood, and Chas and Oscar Reynolds, of Tangle wood. Dr. Pate gave her immediate medical attention and at present she is getting along nicely. Bagot Fleming’s horse sale here Saturday was well attended, Qunuite a number of gentlemen attended from Moores Hill, Osgood, Versailles, Dills boro and other towns. Several horses were sold. Through the agency of James Spencer 8. R. Fuller has traded his farm north of town for the old Stites property here owned by Laws and Spencer, Mr. Ful ler and family will be heartily welcom ed to our midst.,
