The managers are A. J. Ritz and F. Demers. two experienced showmen of Seattle. They have thoroughly renovated and redecorated the room formerly occupied by the Seattle Bar. opposite the postoffice, and have installed an up-to-date moving picture show equipment. Although two other similar places of amusement are already operating in Wenatchee. Messrs. Ritz and Demers figure each added attraction will only increase business for the others. They rely on the convenient location to give them a good patronage for the afternoon as well as evenings.The new management has gone to much expense in securing the services of a very high grade run of films. They also have the only electric piano in the city, which will prove something of a novelty.Continuous performances will be given afternoons from 2:30 to 5 andMedical Examination for Students.Cheney, March 10.—A new feature Inaugurated last week at Cheney Normal school, is the free medical examination of students. It is a distinctjdeparture in connection with Normal school work in the west. The purpose is to determine the physical condition of the students to thei end that everything possible may be done to serve the health and to check any tendency to disease that may exist. The examination blanks call for the name, age, class, height and weight of students. Information is sought in regard to the student’s connection with near relatives who have suffered from consumption, heart disease, scrofula, dyspepsia or catarrh; also, in regard to diseases from which the student has suffered. The general examination takes up the physique, diathesis, skin, eyes, ears, nose, throat, neck, shoulders, spine, thorax, temperature, pulse, heart and lungs. The examination is being conducted by Doctors R. G. Andres and F. A. Pomeroy, assisted by Miss Nellie M. Fisher, of the Physical Training Department.
