SEMI-WEEKLYMore About the Depot.The indications are more favorable each day that the Pan-handle stationwill be moved to the old site near the 8ih and Locust street crossing. Tbe company had its civil engineer here Wednesday looking over the grounds and taking measurements to be used by the company. He volunteered tbe information that there was no doubt that a new station would be built at this site, and indicated that work would begin within I the next three weeks. Preparatory to this tbe ground is now being cleared. The old building is being removed by Mr W. L. Summers to his farm west of town.The company has already la^ j drawings made of the ground and *’s surroundings, indicating the dri'^ way, necessary switches, etc. If tt~ proposition of the town to donate the I site is accepted, a handsome new station will be erected, and everything reasonable will be done for the comfort and convenience of the public. It is not improbable that inside of a j month cars will be stopped at the site of the proposed new station. The present station will be maintained at , its present site and will be used as a j sort of block tower, as it is the p or -j pose of the company to install the | block system on this line.
