Goshen Man Seriously Injured by Being Pinched Between Cars. MACCABEES LOOK AFTER HIMOfficials of the Order iu Goshen Telephone Members at Laporte to Take the Rest Care of Him—Recently Had Two Fingers Crashed fs a Railroad Brakeman.From Tuesday's Daily Times.Nel'on Mack, aged 29 years, formerly of this eitv ar.d a member of Goshen Tent, No 4, Knights of the MaecJrcTees, was yesterday crushed between two car bumpers and was reported dying this forenoon.Bis home is at New Buffalo, Mich , n bt re hr. has a wife and three children. Iu this city he has three brothers, Gt o* ge, Charles and Edward He is employed as a brakeman on the Chicago VVot Michigan railway and last ever irg about six o’clock met with the accident. He was taken to Laporte and the Maccabees here were informed. Orrin Watts, the record keeper of the tent, immediately requested the Laporte Maccabees to take care of him and to give him every attention possible. Today Miss Lilly White, sister of Mrs. Mack, went to his assistance, but fears are expressed that the end may come at any time. Efforts have been made to find out the nature of his injuries but they are unsuccessful.He carries a life insurance policy in the Maccabee order for 61,000. A short time ago two of his fingers were crushed and he received 616 in benefits from the order. His mother’s name is Mrs. Hannah Mack, widow of Marvin.A message was received since noon that Nelson Mack died at 11:30 today. The remains are in charge of the railroad company and will be taken to New Buffalo for burial.
