Balloon Ascension.E. H. Story, General Manager of the Coronado Railroad, has negotiated with Prof. Van Tassel, the Aeronaut, to make a balloon ascension at Coronado Heights on March 25. The professor will probably be accompanied by several persona in his cerial trip. He is now stopping at the Horton House In Han Diego, and will at once inako preparations for the occasion. The balloon will be tilled with gas from the Han Diego gas works, and will be transported to the Heights on a lighter. No definite time has been fixed as yet, but the.alr-*hip will probably start on its voyage at about 3 o'clock p. if. The Coronado railroad will be put In condition along Pomona avenue, so that trains will leave from the ferry landing, making trips to the Heights every half hour. A ferry will be ruu from National City wharf to the wharf at Coronado Heights, ttyie giving the citizens of that place a quick and convenient mode of transportation to the scene of the aaeenslon. The Silver Gate will be ready to transport, the crowd Heroes the bay on that day, so that Ban Diego will have two ferry-boats at her service. The arrangements made by Geueral Manager Btory are such that the occasion will be a grand success, and the excursionists to the Heights will bo taken there und returned in the most comfortable manner.
