OAKLAND (AP) — The Golden State Warriors an nounced the signing of for ward Bill Bridges, a 13-year National Basketball Assn. veteran, in an effort to add experience to their young s for the coming play offs. The club said rookie Frank Kendrick of Purdue was placed on waivers to make room on the roster for the 6- foot-5 Bridges, 35. Bridges, who has played with five different NBA teams and in 11 playoffs, has a career average of 12.1 points per game and is known for his rugged re bounding. He was released by the Los Angeles Lakers after 17 games of the present season and the Hobbs N.M. native had been going to law school in the Los Angeles area. An elbow injury that hampered him last fall reportedly has healed.
