Laurence K. Callahan and 1 William H. Stovall (above) figure the action they saw against Fokkers in the last warpioneered all this business of aces. Col. Callahan, of Chicago, intelligence officer for ’ Eighth Fighter Command, was credited with destroying five Germans in World Warv 1 and Col. Stovall, of Stovall, Miss, now Eighth Fighter Command Personnel officer,accounted for seven of the Kaiser’s aircraft.
