On Trial for Murder.—Georgemd Gardner Pi far, who are charged with the murder of Elijah Addison, colored, were placed upon trial in the Circuit Court at Frederick City, Md., on last Thursday. Addison, it will be remembered, was murdered last Fall near Brunswick, Md., and the Pifers were arrested charged with the crime, Addison was a medicine vendet, and made his home at Stephens City. The trial is attracting much attention, and tnere is strong circumstantial evidence against the accused.At the second day’s trial of Gardner Pifer, charged wilb the murder of ‘Dr.’ Elijah Addison, in the Circuit Court at Frederick, the Court room was crowd ed to suffocation. Judges Motler and Henderson presided, and twenty-five witnesses have already been examined. The evidence so far is circumstantial, but there is a rumor afloat that Geo. Pifer will turn State's evidence.
