The great old cottonwood tree' surrounding the building, with their broad spreading branches while and bending with snow, looked ltorap-like I and reminded us of the winter scenes about J our forest heme in the great Mississippi valley. We were kindly received by the excellent Matron, Mrs. Crittenden, Mr. Crittenden being absent bn a visil H lielena. Misu Crittenden, the Principal of tl.e Academy, showed u- through the various dcpartuieiiis, and Miss David- on, one of the pupil'?, entertained us wuh some excellent, music.
