‘B. C. French, of Giles county, Va., who had been employed with the W. M. Ritter Lumber company at Maben for some time, was fatally hurt in the woods Monday afternoon when a limb fell on him, crushing his skull. The injured man was brought to the Beckley hospital on the even ing train, but died a few hours lat er. The body was prepared for bur ial by Undertaker C. C. Rose, and shipped to Narrows, Va., where it will be taken in charge by relatives. The man was probably a distant relative of the French family in this city, who also hail originally from Giles county.
