Ark., Feb. 25. 1*M.A sufficient contest affidavit having been ft led In this office by John D Me holds, contestant, against Homestead entry No. 10571, made Dec. 8, ImO. for w2 net and e2 nw4 section 85, township M, range 81w. by Fred Hauer, contested, in which it is alleged that the said Fred Hauer has wholly abandoned said tract and changed his residence therefrom for more than one year since making said entry, and next prior to the date herein that said tract Is not settled upon and cultivated by said party os required by law, said parlies are hereby notified to appear, respond and offer evldeneo touching such allegation at 10 o'clock a.m. on Agril 7,1H00, before R. II. Poe. Notary Public, at his office Jn Grannis, Polk Countv, Ark. (and that final hearing will be held at 10 o'clock a. in. on April 17, 1800 before) the Register and Receiver at the United State* Land Office in Camden. Ark.The said contestant having, in a proper affidavit, filed Feb. 25. 1800. set forth facts, which show that after due diligence personal service of tills notice cannot be mode, it is hereby ordered and directed that such notice l»e given by due and proper publication.E A.
