Mrs. one Waltman Mr. and Mrs. O.R. Coonrod spent Wednesday evening in Fairbury in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Mason and family, and with Ed Coonrod, who observed his 86th birthday Feb. 2B. Recent guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Davis were Mr. and Mrs. Verne Rhinehart of Hubbell. American Legion Auxiliary Eight members of the Ameri can Legion Auxiliary answered roll call at the meeting held Monday night at the Com munity Center. The business meeting was led by president, Mrs. Gerald Graham. Com munications were read. Mrs. Calvin Slater was endorsed and voted to be the candidate as department chaplain for 1980- 81. A tape was played of the talk of the third place winner, Jeff Bragalon of Leavenworth, of the American Legion national orational contest, who received a Summerfield scholarship to K.U. The Americanism chair man, Mrs. John Kruizenga, gave a report on her subject. Mrs. Kruizenga was the hostess for the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tuma spent a few days the first of the week in Lincoln with their daughter, Mrs. Judy Brennen stuhl and Tim. A.J. Lowe has learned from his daughter, Mrs. Bob Jacob son, of their arrival in Laurel, Mont. Mr. Jacobson is em in the offices of the Arlington Railroad line and has been transferred from Lincoln, Neb., to Laurel. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Wells spent Sunday in Fairbury to enjoy the birthday observance of Mrs. Wells’ grandson, Kevin Carlson, whose 15th birthday is March 4. In the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. anniversary Forrest Shum at the Methodist Church. . Marguerite Metzger the weekend in Lincoln in home of her son, Mr. and marmite mad Mr. and Mrs. Bud Sullivan and Mr. and Mrs. Max Wells came Saturday from Lincoln to call at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Wells, and all attended the pancake and sausage supper at Narka. The hosts for the Sixty Plus Card Party at the Community Center Thursday night were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Coonrod and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Rose. The party had been postponed and to be remembered is the date of the next one on March 13 with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Goebel and Mr. and Mrs. O.R. Coonrod as hosts. The Youth of the parish assisted with the food sale, which parish youth held at Narka during the pancake and sausage supper Saturday. Members of the Merry Ma kers 4-H Club were busy Sunday afternoon when they were out soliciting for the Red Cross drive.
