A group of Lordsburg golf enthusiasts met Tuesday night with Bob Baldock and son, Bob Jr, golf course architects from Newport Beach, California, to discuss progressive plans on the proposed new golf course. Jim McCutchan was elected temporary chairman and treasur er of the organization, Mr. Bal dock presented preliminary plans and cost estimates After careful consideration of all phases of the course cons truction, it was voted to sign a contract with Mr. Baldock so that plans could progress as fast as possible, copy of the proposed layout can be seen in the lobby of the First National Bank. Land for the course has been contracted for on Highway No. 70 which consists of 75 acres of land with water rights and a usable well on the Glen Shum way Farm. A concentrated drive is now under way for members, and all those who are interested in golf, or helping this community enter prise, are urged to sign up as soon as possible with one of these people, Jim McCutchan, Dick Dockum, Leo Harris, Russ Smith, Ray Sanchez, Oscar Gutierrez, Herbert Saucedo, Howard Phil lips, Leo Cohen or Dudley Ro bertson.
