Mother of Ironwood Resi dent Stricken Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted at Iron Mountain at 9 o'clock to morrow morning for Mrs. David Gendron, 69, mother of Mrs. N. C. Ruddell of Ironwood. Mrs. Gendron died Saturday afternoon at 1:45 after six months illness with a heart ailment. Mrs. Gendron was born June 8, 1869, in Liege, Belgium. She came to this country in 1884, locating at Green Bay. In 1887 she moved to Norway and was married there in 1889, moving to Iron Mountain a year later. Surviving are seven sons and four daughters, Edward of International Falls, William of Cheboygan, George of Chicago, Frank, Jerry, Arthur, and Leo, Mrs. Arthur Mitchell, and Mrs. Edmond J. Poirier of Iron Mountain, Mrs. Eugene B. Sturm of Hermansville, and Mrs. Ruddell. She also leaves a sister, living in Bel gium, and 30 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Piled in by the wind, sand dunes in the Sahara desert often are 400 0 feet high.
