Humber Section Draws People Seeking Home and Business Locations Humber River district stretching from Bloor St., to Lambton, and un till a few years back looked upon as a pleasant place for an evening stroll, or a point to watch the canoeing on the Humber, is fast developing into a residental and commercial centre. Baby Point district, it is stated, will lead for those seeking homes and Jane St. for business locations. During the past few weeks, land values have risen con siderably in these sections, one more in stance of the demand creating a market and raising the value. Restrictions as to class and style of homes to be erect ed have been placed, one house to a twenty-five foot lot, or one house to a one hundred foot lot, with a total cost of home running from $3,000 to $7,000. In the month of January, houses in this section were built to the value of $90,000, some of these totally individually, $10,000 to $18,000, these being all sold, and excavations are un der way for more of these modern homes. The paving of Annette St., and running of the bus to Jane has undoubtedly had an influence in in creasing the value of property, while the building of the proposed viaduct at Bloor is another factor. Along Jane St., one sees many stores and business houses going up, and this street bids fair to be one of the busy sections of the future, and will cater to the needs of the community. A site has been purchased at the corner of Jane and Annette by the Bank of Commerce, who purpose erecting a branch at this junction.
