W O HUNDRED members andfriends of the Chicago Political Equality League celebrated the annual reception and ball of the organization last night in the gold room of the Congress Hotel. Artistically, as well as from the standpoint of attendance, the ball was a success.The ball was in charge of the president, Mrs. Harriet Stokes Thompson, and the floor committee included Frank Peak, Edward l. Loewenthal, H. L. Engelke, M. G. Severinghaus and Ira I. Taylor.The box holders were: Mrs. Harriet Stokes Thompson, Judge and Mrs. Willard M. McEwen, Mrs. Mary H. Wilmarth, Mrs. Stella S. Jannotta, Mr. and Mrs. L. Brackett Bishop, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dis-brow, Mr. and Mrs. Charles B.Strohm, Mrs. Anna B. Crawford, Mrs. Laura Fixen, Mr. and Mrs. B. 1. Wellman, Dr. Elizabeth. Beatty, Miss Kate F. O’Connor, Mr. andMrs. Robert Kohlhamer, Mr. andMrs. Charles E. Nagely, Miss Florence Holbrook. Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Henry Brumbach, Mr. and Mrs. Louis F. Yager.Interpretative dancing by littleMisses Marian Keck, Mary Wade,Bertha Russell, Margaret Carr,Rose Mary Smith, Rosalind Sollett,Valeria Baldwin, Lillian Benson,Charlotte Reed, Georgie Clayberg,Ruth Canady, Ann Aiken, GertrudeCanady, Gladys Lenesiac, MargaretCornish and Lucille Brett, daughters of members of the league, were a feature of the program.
