DANIEL GRIFFING Aquebogue — Daniel Griffing, one of our aged and esteemed residents, passed away at his home in this place, early Sat urday morning. Mr. Griffing was nearly eighty-three years of age and had been in failing health for some months past. He was a man of quiet, unassuming manner, possess ing many admirable qualities, a mem ber of the Aquebogue church, which he attended faithfully when health permitted. Funeral services, conduct ed by the Rev. George H. Smith, were held from the late home on Monday afternoon and the interment was in the Aquebogue cemetery. Mr. Grif fing is survived by one son, George B. Griffing, with whom he resided, and by two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Reeve, of Jamesport, and Miss Mary A. Griffing, of New York city. One sister, Mrs. John P. Terry, of this place, also survives.
