An Ordinance Establishing the Fire Limits of the City of Globe. Ke it ordained by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Globe: SECTION T That portion of the City of Globe within the following described boun daries is hereby declared to be the fire Nimit of the City of Globe: Beginning at the juncture of Cotton wood and Hill Streets in said City of Globe; thence northerly along Hill Street to the Northeast corner of Lot 1 in Block 73 of the Townsite of Globe; thence westerly along the north boundary of said Lot 16, 102.1 feet; thence Northerly along the east boun dary of Lot 33 in said Block to Pinal Creek; thence along Pinal Creek to the juncture of Haskins Road with Broad Street; thence in a southwesterly di rection to the railroad track on Willow Street; thence southerly along the rail road track to a point opposite Cotton wood Street; thence easterly along Cot tonwood Street to the place of begin ning. SECTION II. It shall be unlawful for any person to erect, alter, or add to, or eaase to t U be erected, altered or added to any structure or building within the fire limits of the City of Globe as created, , bounded and described in’ this ordin ance without first having obtained a permit from the Mayor and Common « Council of the City of Globe. Applications for such permits shall be filed with the City Clerk and shall set forth the nature and plan of the building or improvements, and the place whereon the same is proposed to be erected. SECTION HL. It shall be unlawful for any person to maintain within the said fire limits any tent or canvas covered building, or other structure with canvas or cloth roof or lining, or any stove pipes run ning through any side or roof opening in any building. aE ITION TV. All persons are hereby forbidden to store or keep, or cause to be stored or kept, within the fire limits above de scribed, any gunpowder, blasting pow der, giant powder, gas cotton, nitro glycerine, oil oil or gasoline, or any other explosive or combusti ble material of whatever na ture, except twenty-five pounds of black powder and ten cases of coal oil, which may be kept by any storekeeper on his premises for immediate sale. Provided, this shall not be deemed to prevent the use of gasoline lamps or engines, about which not more than 1 gallons of gasoline are stored. SECTION V. When permits have been granted for the erection or alteration of buildings within the fire limits, the plans thereof shall not be materially changed with out the consent of the Common Coun cil; and no more than one-third of the street about any premises may be oc cupied or obstructed with building ma terial, and at no time shall the public streets be obstructed with building ma terial unless a permit therefor is had. SECTION VI. Any permit granted as herein before provided may be revoked in the event the construction work is carried on in a reckless manner, making the street about the premises dangerous.
