More than 50 adivil mem bers attended the event in Hollywood Palladium which included the election of offi cers and new board mem bers. Favy girls who partici pated in the Adventure CS, Conservation Oriented Cavalcades Across the UBA and Canada’ described their trips, Borizon Club members reporting were Virginia Erickson, West Valley; Martha Dickes, Central Valley; Linda Wyatt, Worth Valley, and Vicki Penfold. Central Val ley Mrs. Cutler Dippell was elected to a second term as president of Los Angeles Area Council. Installed with her were Mmes. Robert H anan and Gordon Jen nings, Vice presidents; B. E. Feldman of USC, Dr. Eva Schindler -Rainmen, com munity organization consul tant, UCLA; Ruth Pateleta Short, California Dept. of Mental Hygiene Community Organization specialist; Irene Hobbs, child welfare and attendance supervisor, Los Angeles City Schools, and Mrs. Ray Montgomery, Camp Fire Girls board member, Awards Presented A musical interlude was provided by singers and gui tarists from Golden Phi, North Valley and Wakan- Ky,a Junior Hi Camp Fire group, North Bollywood Stable City District The Farnsworth Award for outstanding leadership on district committesa and additional contributions to operations or program went to 18 administrative volun teers including Mrs. Arthur F. Corwin, North Valley, Mrs. Hamilton Freeman, Central Valley, Wesley R. Jones, Mmes. Walter Melton and Walter Schmidt, West Valley, and Jaime Monray, North Hollywood Studio City. The National Awards Committee authorized the Presentation of Wakan Awards to 27 group leaders for creative program guidance. Valley recipients are Mmes. Forrest Dalilla, Roland 5B.
