Be* Funeral HeldFuneral services for Wll.iam Carroll Beam, 62. native of the Bethlehem community and- for 23 years a weaver at Grover’s Ml nett e Mill, were held Saturday afternoon at Grover Baptist church.Rev, S. M. Hughes, -pastor of the church, conducted the rites, assisted by Rev. W. A. Hoffman and fiev. Park Moore. Iterjnent was made at Grover cemetery with Masonic burial rites being conducted by members of State Line Lodge,Mr. Beam died at his home Friday morning at 7:25l follow-log a three-months illness.He Was a member of the Gro-ver Baptist church, the Masonic order, American Legion and VFW. A veteran of World War 1, he had served In the 81st division, He was the son of Mrs. Amanda Bookout Beam, and the late John Beam.Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Addle Kendrick Beam, three brothers, Marion Beam, of Kings Mm ntain. Grady Beam and Vetter Beam, both of Badln, and two sisters, Mrs. W. C. Crump, of Ra snd Mrs. CL W. Bookout, of “ Vs,Prior to the funeral rites the body lay fa stfte at the church for a half-hour.
