The funeral of Mrs. P. Morse of of Onapa was held Saturday, March 1, in, Onapa. A former pastor of the Onapa Baptist Church, Rev Honeycutt, was in charge of the services. He was assisted by the pastor, Rev. R L. Byler.Mrs. Morse, who was bora Mary Maggie Cottrell, an December 9, 3879, died early Wednesday morning, February 26, 1947. On November 25, 1900, she (was united in marri.age to P. Mors.*. To this un-ior were born eight children, seven girls and one boy.Mrs. Morse is survived by the husband and seven children; Hoan-cr Morse and Mrs. Rebeckah Ellis Checotah; Mrs. Zona Williams Mrs. Hazen-TIallum, Mrs. Dolly Webb and Mrs. Krona Malicott of Arvin, California, and Mrs. Lfly Minugh of Karmcrsville, California; one sister, Mrs. Henry Myers, and two brother, Tom and Mark Cottrell; sixteen gTand children and one great grand child; and a host of friends.She bccusne a member of the Baptist Church early in life, and . has been a member of the Onapa Baptist Church for about twenty-five years. Burial was in Green-lawn Cemetery at Checotah.
