MRS. PETER ROCKWELL PASSED AWAY AT HER HOME LASTEVENING.ILL HUT A SHORT TIMEWas Stricken With Pneumonia on Tuesday and Her Death Was Un*cxoected—Funeral to Be Held*at First M. E. Church Monday Afternoon.Mrs. Mary K. Rockwell, aged 69 years, wife of Peter Rockwell, for years roadmaster for the M., K. T. railway, Sedalia division, died last evening at 6 o’clock at her home 421 East Fifth street. Death resulted from pneumonia, with which she had been ill since Tuesday. Mrs. Rockwell was one of Sedalia’s highly respected and beloved women, a true Christian, a good neighbor, and since her residence in Sedalia, twenty-twoyears ago. she had won the friendship of all with whom she came incontact, who held her in the highest esteem. Her death is sincerely mourned. Few people were aware of her illness and the news of her death was ashock to her many friends.Her maiden name was Mary E. Courtney. She was born in Morgan county, West Virgina, and was married to Mr. Peter Rockwell in 1S57 at Martinsburg, West Virginia.She had been a life-long and devoted member of the Methodist Episcopal church and during her residence herehad been a member of the First M.E. church. She is survived by h«*c bus-band. Peter Rockwell and one son,! Charles P. Rockwell, timekeeper for the M., K. T railway. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the First M. E. church. The Rev. S. S. Martin will conduct the services.iI
