A Favorvijlk Rkport.—A few days ago tli«? district attorney of Xew Orleans tiled an information against Hon. Mr. Ogden. speaker of the house. of representatives, for carrying concealed weapons. It is said the speaker's pistol fell from his pocket and exploded while the house was considering a hill to provide more stringent penalties against carrying concealed weapons. If so, as Charles Vellownlnsli would say, we can “Fancy Handink.s feciinks when the hill met such a favorable report from the Speaker's chair. The City Item says, “That explosion in the Speaker's chair yesterdray is the cause of many mysterious surmises. Was it a pistol? was it a dynamite? was it a torpedo? The believers in dynamite appear to he most numerous, hut as the quantity must have been extremely small, or was counteracted by some biologic force. It could not have hecn a pistol, for the House was at that time considering the propriety of increasing the penalty for carrying concealed weapons.—[Lake Charles Echo.A few days ago, in the Legist are, as the speaker arose to put some question in relation to punishment for carrying concealed weapons, a loud report was heard iu his rear.
