Plunged Into Car of Mrs. H. W. Kelly as She Was Turn ing Into Driveway of Home on Green Street—Passed 2 Cars on the Wrong Side. SETS FINE AT $10.00 Richard Lowry, driver of a Dawn Donut Company truck, was fined $10 and costs yesterday afternoon by Re corder Ashley when he was brought before the court on a charge of reck less driving. Lowry was given a sum mons by Officer Olbricht Tuesday af ter he had crashed into and damaged a car driven by Mrs. Hugh W. Kelly, of Green street. According to Ol bricht, Mrs. Kelly was driving west on Green street and signalled that she was about to turn right into the driveway of her home. Lowry was two cars behind Mrs. Kelly, and des pite efforts of the officer to stop him, he drove his car on the right when she turned past the other cars and was about to try to pass Mrs. Kelly's car on the right when she turned and his machine crashed into her Dodge, damaging it considerably. When arraigned yesterday Lowry pleaded guilty to having been reck less. In fixing his fine Recorder Ash ley reminded him that the incident will be chalked up against him in the records of Commissioner Dill. “You can’t afford to let this thing happen again”, Ashley reminded him. “If you do you'll lose your license, for the people traveling the highways can't afford to submit to the danger of having reckless drivers on the roads , Lowry “had been driving the dough nut truck but a week, he said. He believed Mrs. Kelly was going to turn left into School street as he saw that there was no road into which a car could make a right-hand turn at the point where the accident happened. Officer Olbricht testified that he blew his whistle three times in an attempt to stop Lowry before the crash oc curred.
