YARN AND CORDAGE MILLS. A Room oF APPLICATIONS FOR PLaces. Supt. . D. Martin, of the R. Johnson Yarn and Cordage Mills, is receiving more applications to fill positions in the new Johnson Cotton Mill than there are positions to of fer. A few trained persons from the Eagle Cotton Mill, living in the west end of the city, will be trans ferred to the new mill to teach the remaining employer required, who will be engaged from local sources. Mr. Martin speaks highly of the skilled mechanics to Mr. Johnson's employ with whom he has come in contact in this city, and he believes that the untrained hoods will make good mill help when taught. He also regards Madison as a particular ly favorable location for the cotton factory business
