The following building permits were issued yesterday by the board of public works: John Gren/.enbach, to erect a one-story frame house on lot 27, Me-Lachlin’s addition, to cost $600; Henry Uetrecht, to erect a one-story framehouse on lot 131, Industrial park addition, to cost $750.Yesterday afternoon Mrs. A. Harding. S. A. Burroughs, A. W: Johnson, William Hulse and W. M. Creigh ton.George J. Mold, “the silent circumnavigator,” accompanied by his attendant and manager, R. F. Kinnaird, arrived in the citv over the Wabash last evening and are at the residence of the latter’s parents, at 25 West Williams street. Mr. Mold is making atour of the world without speaking except through the medium of a ventril-oqufcal figure. During his tour he must make $20,000. Messrs. Mold and Kinaird will remain in this city the remainder of the week.The marriage of Miss Alida Spaulding to Mr. Clarke Gilford occurred at 6 o’clock last evening at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Spaulding of South Calhoun street, Rev. C. C. Cissel officiating. Miss Josephine Spaulding played the wedding march and Miss Addie Spaulding acted as flower girl. The bride was gowned in corn , colored silk and carried bride’s roses. The house was decorated with carnations, and a wedding supper was served. The out-of-town guests were: Miss Emma Melshing of Bluffton and Mr. E. Ingalls of Toledo. Mr. and Mrs. Gifford .ill soon be at home on East Wayne street.
