Orphans’ Court. ‘The Orphans’ Court met this morning ‘and transacted the following busipens : The head of John G Crane, sheriff of Anne Arundel county, was presented and approved by the Court the personal estate of Mrs. Hester Aon Ridout, was presented and passed. Marriage Notes. The marriageable portion of our com munity have certainly commenced the New Year well, as far as carrying out the old motto of the state, crecte multi plicamini ta concerned For the month of February there were 13 marriage li cense issued, and 17 for the proceeding Month, against 12 in January and 16 in ebruary 1888, showing a slight in crease this year over those issued for the same time last year. When we can 'r too that 1888 was leap year, it most ranted that 1889 has commenced re markably well, Lenten Services at St. Anne’s Church, To-morrow being Ash Wednesday, and the first day of the Holy Season of Lent, there will be the following services in St. Sue's Church : Holy Communion, 7 A. : Morning Prayer, Litany and Ser ™ Moo, 11 A. M . and Evening Prayer 5 P. The regular week day services dur ing Lent will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, Frsdays and Saturdays. Morning Ver at7 A.M.
