Fire Chief Ray Fredrick made the following report at the monthly meet ing of the fire department. Since Jan 1, there have been 12 fire calls — 3 structure fires with losses in excess of $30,000; 4 motor vehicle responses: 3 mutual aid responses: 1 electrical pole fire, and 1 chimney fire. Mike Harbold and Sonja Lloyd have com pleted the probationary period and have been accepted as regular mem bers of the fire department. Sonja is presently attending the EMT train ing program at the Soldiers and Sail ors Hospital in Wellsboro. Other members attending the EMT training program are: Tina Brazda, Sandra Naylor and Neil Krause. The Black Madonna Ecumenical Choir is preparing for an appearance at the Clemens Center in Elmira. The Choir will sing several selections as part of the Generations of Polka” event to be held at Clemens Center at 8 pm. on Saturday, April 4th. A variety of dancers and singers, in cluding the Tatra Dancers and solo ist Jackie Banik, will be included in the program. The public is invited Several flocks of geese were seen over Blossburg on Saturday.
