Chance to Be HeardMay I have equal space to answer those 'who, in my opinion, represent the small but noisy group in this area who try to deceive your readers into thinking theirs is the majority opinion?Several of your more prolific correspondents have commented favorably on an editorial headlined, “United States Should Submit to World Court Authority.” How could any patriotic American agree to the words, “United States Must Submit? One local agitator uses the Communist party ■line, “World Order 1”Aside from the fact that Communistsin South America and followers of the party line in the United States, have been successful in helping to break down law and order in California, in the case of convicted rapist and kidnaper, Caryl Chessman, it would appear our State Legislature has excellent legal grounds to impeach Pat: Brown. When he became governor, he took an oath of office, in which he swore before God, to support and uphold the laws, of the State ofCalifornia. It appears to me, and the majority of people with whom I have talked, that our pseudo-liberal governor has violated: his;:': oath.;;As for you, dear fuzzy-minded editor.may I suggest you re-read the Constitution of the United States of America, as well as the Constitution of the State of California? Also, you might possibly learn that there are Communist ministers and members in some of the churches,, if you. will take the trouble to inform yourself. Any self-respecting newspaperman owes it to his readers to keep himself alert' and informed, in order that he won’t - be guilty of distorting the news,.AThis is your opportunity to show your courage,'sir.'Do you dare' print'both sides? Even though you have a newspaper monopoly, your readers do have varied opinions and all those opinions should 'be given anopportunity' to be expressed. 'righteously' condemn Iron. Cur-tain; countries for: sttppreisloa of free speech’.Why, then, are' we .so eager to suppress ideas here when we disagree with them?How are we any different from, the Russiansif we, like them, will only permit the local point of view?
