Wedded in Store Window.Amid cheers from a vast crowd of people, Mrs. Gay Oyler, the daughter of Jonas Keller, of Jackson township and Richard Hali, a well known young man of Hillsboro were united in marriage as a final to the Hillsboro Hardware Co.’s opening Saturday afternoon. The young couple were married i i a large window in the front of the establishment by Rev. Harry Davis, pastor of the Hillsboro Christian church. At 1 o’clock, two hours before the time set for the wedding, every place of advantage on the first floor of the company’s large building was occupied. People stood on stoves and on the counters for two hours in order to be present when the ceremony was performed. The excitement over the wedding was due to the fact that no one knew who the couple to be married were. By 2:30 o’clock Main street in front of the store was crowded and the store itself was packt so that it was almost impossible to make room for the orchestra. Even the surrounding roofs were crowded with anxious spectators.Promptly at 3:00 o’clock a big auto“ mobile bearing the minister and the bride and groom drove up in front of the store. The couple, to Mendelsohn’s wedding march, stept onto the specially constructed platform and in a few minutes they were husband and wife. Their many friends crowded around to congratulate them and then they were escorted back to the auto amid deafening applause. They were driven to the depot and left on the evening train for a short wedding tour. The Hillsboro Hardware Co. will present the couple with a kitchen outfit for being married at their opening.
