Death ot Mrs- BrightmanI#Just as we were going to press yesterday afternoon the death j of Mrs. Mary Shackleford Bright-; man, wife of Mr, C. Washington Brightman, wras announced. This removes from Georgetown one of its oldest landmarks and one of its sweetest Christian women, While Mrs Brightman had been in feeble health for some time: past, her death was very sudden and unexpected and brings sorrow to the hearts of all the people ofour cityMrs. Brightman was a noble Christian woman and possessed all those charrcteristics that go tomake up lovely womanhood. She waBa true wife ane mother in everv sense of the word, and obeUpwill be missed by others than her immodiate family. Mrs. Brightman was 70 years cld and had been married for 50 yearsBesides her husband she leavesfour children. They are : Mr. T. Willie Brigtftman, Mrs. Ti os. S. Munnerlyn, Mrs. Geo. B. Sanders and Mr. C. Oscar Brightman, besides several grand children.Toe funeral will tafco place this afternoon at 8 80 o’olock from theMethodist church of which the de-©ceased had been a lifelong member.The pallbearers will be : Active — J. R. S. Siau, E. R.Beaty, H. M Hucks, E.M. Doar, E. C. Haselden, J. Walter Doar.Honorary—Capt. W. A. Black, E. W. Haselden, S r., Maj. B. A. Munnerlyn, .T. J. Hucks, Capt.fl. T. McDonald. W. H.
