LwBt-1S».V■hrs.tiesnit.teedidBiff Irrigation Company organised*The charter of the Klondike Plantation company has been filed for record, with domicile at Lake Arthur, Calcasieu parish, its purpose being to “convey water by means of canals or pip© lines, to acquire, own, construct, and operate canals for irrigation purposes*, also to carry on a general agricultural business and to bore for oil, petroleum, gas, and in general to develops the state’s resources.” This includes salt and allother minerals, says the Lake Charles Press.The capital stock is fixed at $500,-000, divided into twenty-five hundred preferred shares and twenty-five hundred common at the par value of $100 each, business to begin when $100,000 of the capital has been subscribed. This amount hn-s already been taken by W. O. Harrison, W. P, Harrison, Fred E. Harrison, J. Vernon Evans, John E. Bruce and J. H, Bromwel,the incorporators.The first board of directors and the officers, consists of W. P. Harrison,president and treasurer; W. C. Harrison, vice-president, and T. T. Harrison, secretary, and these will hold office until the second Tuesday in hlarck, 1905.
