H. Harrison. A. B., has charge of Latin and Greek Literature: the second, Mr. L. L. Haupt, a graduate of one of the first Institutions in Philadelphia,' is permanent!)' ronnected with the Academy as assistant teacher of English. French Drawing and Mathematics. Wah this as-: distance he has been able to give a much larger amount of instruction titan formerly, and to attend particularly to those branches of an English education, which are frequently loo much neglected in schools wheie the highest branches are taught. jThe few pupils who are received as board-! ers, enjoy unusud advantages, they can at J all times receive such explanation and assistance, as may be necessary in their •todies; and these who voluntarily appropriate a part of their recreation hours to study, have extra recitations given them at night! without additional charge. iMathema'ical Students ore not confined ] to set lessons, but each can advance as rap-] idly as his talents and application will permit.In Surveying, pupils are allowed the use of very superior instruments, and are frequently exercised in field practice.The Department s of Natural Philosophy Chemistry, Mineralogy and .Hnutomy, are furnished with a respectable and increasing collection of minerals and apparatuses.The TERMS for board, washing, lodging, tuition, fuel and lights, are 75 dollars per Session ol 21 weeks payable in advance. This, considering the number of teachers, the amount of instruction, and the comparatively small number of pupils, will it is believed after a comparison with other schools be found unusually low.The examination which clones the Session, will take place on Tuesday and Wed XESDAY the 12ih and 13'h of March ; two days have been allowed in order that an opportunity might be afforded for a thorough examination on all subjects ol the course ; any one present will have the privilege of designating tiie pari or pails of subjects on which any pupil shall be examined.Ail who feel an interest in the efferci-5ea are respectfully invited to attend between the hours of 9 and 12 a.
