New Braunfels students place at French meetingEight New Braunfels students placed in the Texas State French Symposium in Pasadena, Texas last weekend.Karen Edwards received a first place for her pencil drawing of “Famous French People” and joined Robby Houde and Kelly Ohlschwager for third place in Poker Pari.Jodi Sparks earned second place in the sculpture-model section with her“Arc de Triomphe” and fifth place In the pen and ink category for her Pont du Gard.”Lee Juarez took sixth place in watercolor for “Ode to Quasimodo” while Trent Boamet placed fifth in needlework for “Map of France.” Kim Ashley advanced to the semifinals of Prepared Speech I.
