SR. ANNA GAUDist River Park Limited of Prince Albert were en trusted with the funeral arrangements for the late ‘Sr. Anna Gaudet (Sr. Saint Nil) age 82, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, who passed away at the Provincial House infirmary on Sunday, February 14, 1982. Prayer Service was held from the Provincial House Chapel on Tuesday, February 16, 1962, at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass was Celebrated from the Provin cial House Chapel on Wed nesday, February 17,1982 at 4:30 p.m. by Rev. Fr. Roland Gaudet, Rev. Fr. Ghislain Gaudet, Rev. Fr. Leo Laberge, Rev. Fr. Gilles Doucette, Rev. Fr. Gilles Gauthier’ O.M.I. and Rev. Fr. Andre Boyer OMI. ‘The late Sr. Anna Gaudet is survived by one sister - Miss Agnes Gaudet, one ter-in law - Mrs.” Ger maine Gaudet, both of Bellevue; 56. nieces and nephews and numerous real nieces and nephews among whom are Fr. Luc Gaudet of St. Joseph's Parish in Prince Albert and Sisters Rose, ‘Therese and Germaine Gareau, and Gratienne Gaudet Sr. Gaudet was born on ‘June 6, 1899 in St. Isidore de Bellevue, where her parents wed. She entered the Novitiate, in St. Hyacinth, ‘Quebec i'817 and began her career as a religious in the USA, firstly for two years in Augusta,Maine, then seven years in Dover, New Hampshire. In 1928 she returned to Saskatchewan ,and served a few years in Marcelin, Green Lake and at the Vill in Prince Albert. For the past two years she had been serving at a Ladies Hostel which the Order operates in Winnipeg. It is in Duck Lake, however, that she devoted most of her iie, serving 25 years at the Stobart Boarding School and 13 years at St. Michael's In dian Residential School. As an educator, playground supervisor, sacristan and child care worker, she was everyone's favorite. Although she was extremely small of stature, her influen ce was deep and far- reaching. She will be remembered for her radiant faith and her loving concern for people of all ages and of all circumstances. Pallbearers were Georges: Gareau,Paul , Donat Gareau, Raymond Gaudet, Denis Gaudet and Roland’ Gaudet. Crossbearer was Noel Gaudet. Interment followed in the South Hill Cemetery, Prince ‘Albert, MR. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, February 17, 1982 at 10:30 am. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral by Rt. Rev. Msgr. A.J.St. Pierre. ‘The late Mr. Gauthier was predeceased by: his wife Marie-Louise (nee Bien venue) in 1963; his son-in law Ernest DeGirolamo in 1979; four sisters and one brother - Marie-Renee (Mrs Pierre Robin), ‘Thomas Gauthier, Marie-Joseph (Mrs. Joseph Georget), Marie-Rose (Sister St. ‘Thomas P.M.) and Miss Maria Gauthier. He is sur vived by three daughters ~ Maria (Mrs. DeGirolamo) of Marcelin, Suzanne (Mrs. Martin Puchala) of Yorkton id Miss _ Marie-Rose Gauthier of 354 - 15th St. West; nine grandchildren; one brother - Francois (Gilberte) Gauthier of Kelowna and a sister-in law Mrs. Alice Gauthier of Prin ce Albert. ‘The late Mr. Gauthier was born on April 30, 1804 in Merlenc, Brittany, France, ‘and came to Canada with his parents in 1903, first to Carlton then to Marcelin in 1905. He married in 1929 and farmed in the Leask district until 1989 when he moved to farm in Marcelin District and then retired to Prince Albert in 1957. Pallbearers were: Marc DeGirolamo, Neil DeGirolamo, Tom Puchala, Daniel DeGirolamo, Colin Puchala and Dale DeGirolamo. Interment followed in the South Hill Cemetery. MR. Fr. S.J. Racaynski. The late Mr. Savard was predeceased by his parents = Lydia (Noel) and Didyme Savard; four sisters - Philomene Brassard, Noelie Savard (Desjardins), Marie arent, and Pauline Peder~ ven; six brothers : Lorenzo Desjardins, Ernest Savard, Robert Savard, Pierre Savard, Thomas Savard and Edmond Savard. He is sur vvived by: his loving wife ~ Diana (Gobell) Savard of He is survived by: his wife , Diana (Gobeil) Savard of New Westminster; four sons ‘and two daughters - John of Edmonton, Raymond of ‘Thompson, Man., Diane (Mrs. Ron Dansereau) of Coquitlam, B.C., Pauline (Mrs. Eric Schluff) of Cairo, Egypt, Maurice of Van couver and Marcel (Leslie Garson) of Aldergrov ‘ight grandchildren, two brothers and one sister ~ eon (Edith) Savard of Prince Albert, Andre (Madeleine) Savard of Mon real and Mrs. Annette Chalifour of Detroit. ‘Mr. Savard was born on ‘april 6, 1906 in Lac St. Jean, Quebec and came West to the Shell River District with his parents in 1910, and to Prince Albert in 1925 where he was employed for many years with Sicks Bohemian Brewery. Interment followed in the South Hill Cemetery, Prince Albert. MRS. ELIZABETH MARIA ATKINSON Paulhus Funeral Service of Shellbrook were entrusted, with the funeral arrangements for the late Mrs. Elizabeth Maria Atkin son, age 88, who passed away peacefully in the Shellbrook Hospital on Thur sday, February 18, 1982, following a shortllness ee on Monday, Feb 2, 1962 from Knox United Church, Shellbrook. Canon ‘Tom Morgan officiated. Lily Marchant played the organ. ‘The congregation with the Community Church Choir sang “Nearer My God to Thee and “The Old Rugged Cross”. The Choir sang ‘Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross”. Henri Paul has ren dered ‘the solo Isle of Somewhere”. The 2rd psalm was recited. The ‘The late Mrs. Atkinson was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Atkinson 101954; one son Arthur Roy 51900; and one grandson ~ Terry Atkinson in 1976. She 's survived by: three sons ~ Thomas (Muriel Dixon) of Young, Sask., James (Mae Ignuson) of Shellbrook, Ray (Patricia Nishak) of Swan River, Man.; two daughters - stellars, Andersen) of 21 gran children; 26 great gran dchildren and § great great ‘grandchildren. ‘Mrs. Atkinson was born on August 10, 1838 in London, England. She came to Canada in 1919 and married, ‘Thomas at Regina, Sask. in ‘August 1919. They’ lived on ‘he City Farm at Regina for their first few years of married life, moving to Toung in the early 1920's where they homesteaded nd farmed until 1951. In 1954, Mrs. Atkinson moved to Thelibrook. In February 1977, she became a guest of the’ Parkland Terrace, 1 Thelibrook. She was a mem ber of the Knox United Chi ch, the Legion Lad y Aucxiliary and the friendship circle of U.C.W. Mrs. Atkin son spent many hours ‘making quilts and her pot holders are in many kitchens throughout the country. Pallbearers were six of her grandchildren sons of each of her five children: Arthur Andersen, Dennis Andersen, Lawrence Atkin son, Rodney Atkinson, Dale Holmes and Colin Atkinson, Interment followed in the Tucsans Shellbrook Cemetery. Terry Wiebe of Holy Trinity Anglican Church officiating, ‘The late Mrs. McBride was predeceased by her * husband, William John Mey 3ride, one son Gordon, killed in action in World War I, June 6, 1944; two brothers Wellington and Walter Newton. In the early spring of 1907 she travelled by oxcart to the family homestead at Yankeep Valley, 10 miles south of Shelbrook. In the spring of 1820, she came to Prince Albert, where she worked at 3 Harphill Grocery and G.W. Baker General Store. On January 11,1922 she married William John McBride. Mrs. it McBride was a former resident of the Prince Abert Silver Cross Mothers, representative of the provin ce of Saskatchewan at the £, ceremonies commemorating the 20th anniversary of the, Pay ratings in Rar. 5 Pallbearers were: Ernie Agnew, Don Layman, Alvin Geletté and Bill Steeden. 7 Interment followed in the family plot in the South Fill Cemetery. He is survived by: his wife - Patricia (nee Smith); one brother - Ali ‘Mary’ Leask of, Drumheller, Alta.; one sister - Bertha (Mrs. Frank Mercier) of Maple Creek, B.C. several nieces and nephews. ‘Mr. Germiquet was born on May 7, 1990 in D'Amour, Sask. He took his elementary Schooling there and his High School in Prince Albert. Henri formed the family farm in Leask, until ill health forced his retirement 11978. He married Patricia Smith in 1975 and at that time took up residence in Leask until his passing. Pallbearers were: George Diehl, Willard Dicus, Emil Robin, Chris Barber, Ernest Brad and Wilfred Jeanette.
