R Seely of Vernal, utali. but well-known locally; from their son.I Fr^s:Jan. 6, 1944Dearest Mother and Dad.You'll have to excuse me for not writing sooner. . . ,We have been out in the field all day today . I feel like we have walked a hundred miles. It's really quite a bit of fun though Going on a five-day bivouac next week lt;that's camping out and v;e take everything on our back i and think it wUl he a lot of fun. We'll probably have a lot of nigtit problems and ■ I understand we are going to have a little battle too. We are really getting some good training now..... I went over to Camp Davis last Sunday to see some fellows from Utah State. There are 38 over there in OCS. Some of them are receiving their commissions tomorrow. One of them. Lane Dalmer, is a Pi Kap-He found out I was here last Saturday night at a party the Church was having in Willming-Um so he got on the bus and came over. That's why I went back over to Camp Davis.We have started meetings here every' monday night. Wehave held it four times and had eight there last Monday. I think it’s going to turn out pretty good. I met Barbara Zwahlen there last Monday, from Castle Dale. She is in the Marines andstationed here.I read In the Emery Co. Progress about Loyde Olsen. . . .Well, it’s close to bed time so 1 11 close.
