Pleasant SurpriseLast Friday evening February 25th, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Coats were pleasant*ly surprised by friends in the community. The young couple were happily enjoyingitheir new home when forty guests knocked for admission. Although they were , expecting friends to call on them, it was• very evident that they were agreeably , i surprised. In the confusion Harold Iinsisted that we ali sit down before we1J had removed our wraps and there were j but two chairs in the room. After many j | congratulations they soon proved themselves really at home and made us feel welcome. We were all seated and enter-itamed with music by the New Liberty• orchestra. Gaines were well under waywhen a more important feature of the evening came to our attention. Home made candies by the bushel, dozens of bananas and oranges and ice cream and cake were served, ft was hard to tellwho put away the most. IVrry Cook or Veniis Clore. After more eats, we all departed wishing the new comers a happy continuous voyage in the community in which they are so very welcome.
