A better locality fora town could not have been selected. The land surrounding it is adapted to agriculture, and already occupied by persons who intend to put in grain and vegetable crops and plant fruit trees and grape vines. Silver, copper and lead have been fonnd in the adjoining hills, where also pine timber grows and two saw mills have been erected.
