Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Norris, 518 Bowen St., gave a surprise birthday party Sunday at their home for their son-in-law, Billy Joe Leffler of Nelsonville. Born Feb. 29, 1932, Mr. Leffler celebrates his birthday only once over four years. Mr. Leffler and his wife, Delores Norris Leffler, are the parents of three children. Those helping celebrate were Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Norris and children James, Mindy and Joni Lynn, all of Logan; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hart (Elaine Norris) and children Vangi, Tamii, Tyler and Karri, all of Mid dleport; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thornton (Karen Norris) and children Jenny Sue and Joveta, all of Rock bridge. Mr. and Mrs. David Mingus (Virginia Norris) and children Mark, Jinny Marie, Vicky and Mike, all of Rockbridge Rt. 1, visited the group at noon. After a bountiful meal at the noon hour, the afternoon was spent playing outdoor games including deck tennis and horseshoes. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stouder of Logan also joined the group for the afternoon games.
