LENA HEINMILLER (Hawkeye) - Lena M. Engelke Heinmiller, 80, was born in Hawkeye, Mary 24, 1891. Shewas one of five children born toFrederik and Anna Regina (Ga-dow) Engelke. She entered the church baptism July 5, 1891 and was confirmed Feb. 11, 1905.She was united in marriage to Bernard Heinmiller on Feb. 11, 1915 in Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawkeye by Rev. L. A. West-enberger. They were long time Hawkeye area residents.To this union three daughters were born Gertrude, Lenora andLoretta. Mrs. Heinmiller was a resident of the New Good Samaritan Home at West Union the past three years until her death there on Feb. 18, 1972, at 12:10 p. m.She was preceded in deathby her husband on Sept. 14, 1969, her parents, two brothers, Paul and William; and one sister,L zzie.She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Earl (Gertrude) McIntyre, Hawkeye; Mrs. Donald (Lenora) Shaffer of Postville;Mrs. Arlo (Loretta) Evers of Wichita, Kan. ; one sister, Mrs. Anna Graff of Elgin, 111. ; seven grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.Services were held Feb. 20 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Hawkeye, with Rev. Ronald Spears, officiating.Pallbearers were Clair Campbell, Emory Christensen, Edwin Begalske, Ervin Belschner, Raymond Hyman and Harold Lauer.Burial was in the Hawkeye Cemetery with the Emerson-Milnes Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
