BLUEFIELD, W. Va. (UPI)— W. T. Christian of Bluefield faces a preliminary hearing here Wednesday on charges in connection with the Jan. 5 theft of $300,000 in $100 bills from the home of a coal operator. Christian, 50, was taken into custody Saturday after returning from a vacation in Florida. He posted $50,000 bond in magistrate’s court. The money was taken during a breaking and entering at the residence of C. A. Clyborne. None of the missing cash has been recovered but four other persons have been arrested in connection with the theft. Others arrested were Rufus Raymond Hampton, 37, of Bluefield, Va., and Mary Ann Byrd, 39, Dwight Perdue, 54, and Bet ty Louise Powell, 46, all of Bluefield, W. Va
