/ Obituary lt;f Mrs. Rebecca Currier./ Sunday evening, February 26, Mrs. j Rebecca Currier died at tbe borne oft ftier (laughter, Mrs, I. B. Stoddard, in this city, aged 80 years and 20 days.Tbe deceased was born at Virgil Corners, New York, in 1813. From that place she moved to Euclid, Ohio, where she was united in marriage with Wm. Currier, who proceeded her to the other land in 18G5 after a married life of thirty years.Six children are living as a result of the union, foiir of them being present at the funeral today. They are Mrs. I. B. Stoddard, of this place; Mvs. L. E. Nickerson, of Onarga, 111., the latter having come to Shenandoah early laBt week; M. A. Currier, of Omaha, Neb.; and G. II. Currier, of Prescott, In.; F. F. Currier, of Quincy, 111., and Ij. C. of California, were unable to be present.Soon after tbe death of her husband in 1865 Mrs. Currier began living with her children and us one of the latter stated to us yesterday, “She was a woman who was sure of a warm wel come at whoso ever home she was.1'A great part of her time has been spent in charitable work and looking out for the happiness and comfort of others. She has made her home with Mrs. Stoddard in this city during the last year. She was n woman of strong will power and great vitality, the latter being emphasized by the statement that she had never taken medicine during her long liTe, depending rather upon nature with the proper care to cure her of the little ills.The funeral services were hold at the home of her daughter on 7th avenue Tuesday afternoon and were conducted ] by Kov. liny ward.-Shenandoah Sentinel.
