The Lesley Foundation announced today that they have commenced Installa tion of smoke detectors in every apartment of each of their retirement residences in San Mateo County, Park Towers, Pilgrim Plaza in San Mateo, Bonnie Brae Terrace In Belmont, and Ocean View Plaze in Half Moon Bay. After much research with the aid of both fire departments they selected an ionization type electri cally operated heat and smoke guard. Fire Marshals Mark Navartis of San Mateo and William Cooper of Belmont have supervised the Instal lations so that they are placed in the most sensitive area of each apartment. Bruce Watson, executive director of the Lesley Foundation expressed his delight and that of the Board of Trustees. ‘This is one expense we share with great enthusiasm.
